Learning Enhancement & Advancement Program (LEAP)

Overview

Building on the success of Project Arohana – our dedicated engagement program across three government schools in South Bengaluru, we have developed strong expertise in conducting bridge (remedial) courses for children with learning difficulties and preparing bright students for competitive exams such as Olympiads and the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS).

Through Learning Enhancement & Advancement Program (LEAP), we now aim to expand our reach and offer our expertise to children studying in other government schools. This integrated approach ensures that no child is left behind while also nurturing high-potential students who often lack access to structured guidance and resources.

LEAP is our strategic initiative with two key objectives:

Learning Enhancement:

This program track is designed to support children who are at risk of falling behind academically, particularly children with learning difficulties and migrant students who join schools mid-academic year.

The objective is to strengthen their Foundational skills (FLN) in a structured way and help them reach age-appropriate level of learning.

Over time, we expect that strengthening foundational skills will enable these children to pursue vocational and skill-based education path, improving their employability and livelihood opportunities

Learning Advancement:

This program track is designed for children who are fast-learners and demonstrated good progress in foundational literacy, numeracy and language skills.

By preparing these children for competitive exams like Olympiads and National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS), we aim to nurture their academic potential.

In the long run, these students will be better positioned to pursue higher education and professional careers as they develop strong expertise in key skills such as English, Mathematics, and Science.

Across both the learning tracks, program delivery will adopt an activity-based, experiential, and digital learning approach to improve learning outcomes and increase student engagement.

Note: This program will also complement the Karnataka education department’s new initiative of English medium (bilingual) classes introduced from academic year 2025-26, ensuring children are well-prepared for this transition

Rationale:

Through the LEAP Program, we aim to equip children with 21st-century skills, where future job opportunities are increasingly driven by problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, adaptability, and practical, hands-on skills.

Beneficiary:

Grade 3 to Grade 8 students of government schools in Anekal Town, Bangalore, KA (4 schools in scope)

Over 180 students are part of the program

Classes:

Olympiad Classes: 8:30 am to 9:45 am (Tuesday and Thursday)
Remedial Classes: 8:30 am to 9:45 am (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
NMMS Classes: 8:30 to 10 am (Saturday)

Duration of the program

3 years (April 2026 to March 2029)

Execution Cost

Year 1: INR 10 lakh approx – includes cost of one time infra/content setup (USD $11,000)
Year 2: INR 8 lakh approx (USD $9,000)
Year 3: INR 9 lakh approx (USD $10,000)

The cost of remedial classes or Olympiad/NMMS per child, for a whole year is approx. INR 5500/-
