On Friday, June 13, we conducted a large-scale seed ball making program across all 3 schools we are supporting. It was a wonderful day filled with learning, collaboration and positivity.
Our children learned how their small actions can lead to meaningful change and contribute to a healthier environment.
Numerous studies show that early experiences with nature and environmental activities plays a vital role in shaping a child’s personality – fostering empathy, emotional well-being, happiness and encouraging pro-environmental behavior.
It was a community event where parents and environment enthusiasts also participated. Together, we made thousands of seed balls using seeds of neem, bamboo, mango, guava, amla and native flower varieties.
Younger children from foundational classes also took part by planting vegetable seeds to set up their own kitchen garden.
Environmental activities are an integral part of our teaching approach. We hope that experiences like these lead our children to grow into environmentally conscious and responsible citizens.
