We are fortunate at Aikya Trust to have well-wishers who don’t just support our work, but genuinely think about the children and what can make their school life better.
Mr. Surya Prakash Kothari Sir is one such person.
We are deeply grateful to him and Abhishek Bindal sir for providing water purifiers across the three government schools we work with. Our village school children now have access to clean and safe drinking water at school — something so fundamental, yet so important for their health and well-being.
Kothari Sir has been supporting our work for some time. Earlier, he helped us set up a multi-purpose shed in honour of his parents, which is now being put to wonderful use by the children. It has become a space for their learning activities, mid-day meals and many other school activities. Before the shed was built, children often had to manage wherever they could find space, sometimes sitting on the ground for their meals and activities. Today, they have a proper space where they can sit, eat, learn and participate together.
We are truly thankful to Kothari Sir for his continued support and for always thinking about our children. We deeply appreciate his faith in Aikya and the work we do.
