4th Anniversary Celebration at Old Age Home

August 1st 2026 marked the 4th anniversary of Aikya Trust.

Over the last four years, our hearts and efforts have been dedicated to improving children’s education. That will always remain our primary mission. But this year, we wanted to celebrate our anniversary by spending time with another section of society that also deserves our love, care and attention.

We spent a few hours at Ashraya Old Age Home on the Anekal–Chandapura Road, Bengaluru, serving lunch to the elderly and contributing a few essentials like bedsheets, blankets and food grains.

Yesterday wasn’t just about charity. It was a gentle reminder that human connection is just as essential as our basic necessities. It was also a deep realization that growing older can sometimes mean having fewer people around to talk to. Many of the residents weren’t looking for anything extraordinary. They were simply happy that someone had come to meet them, listen to them and spend time with them. Sometimes, the greatest gift we can offer is not something we bring with us, it’s simply our time and presence.

As Team Aikya enters its fifth year, I hope that, with your continued support, we can keep creating opportunities for children while also spreading kindness and care wherever we can. Thank you for being a part of this journey.
